Feb 4th 2008 11:45PM Oh ya btw. Don't complain about getting 2 months pay... CompUSA boned us 10 times harder. If you worked there under a year you get nothing and anything over a year and you get a whopping one week of pay...how generous...and Mr. Slim didn't even give us that...the liquidation company did...what an Ahole Carlos Slim is and may he rott in hell.

Feb 4th 2008 11:42PM Sorry to hear that all the DDS's are closing. I opened one a year ago in August and they closed ours this last August. I loved my job there and the pay was some of the best in the electronics industry. It's kind of weird timing with the lay-off happening and me working for CompUSA now and them going out of business as well. It seems like the economy is in the sh*tter and the rich keep getting richer. Good luck to all the Dell employees out there looking for a job as I will be joining you.....for the second time in a year(maybe I should go put Walmart out of business next). :D

Feb 5th 2007 12:08PM Being I work for Dell I am a little biased, however if you look at performance tests this machine performs on par with every other machine speced the same way for $500-$1,500 less so pricing is definately not ridiculous. 667 memory doesn't hurt performance one bit and neither does the 590 mobo. Why the hell would you want 8 gigs of ram...compensating for lacking something else? You don't sell them at Best Buy because Dell isn't interested in whoring themselves out like HP and Gateway and also because of Dell's business model which is being the direct source to the customer without a middle man. Lastly, you don't play on two plasma tv's and even if you did, why? What terrible resolution you would have to be playing at...GG. Just thought I would combat the common misconceptions about Dell tyvm. The E7H3R aka The Truth
