Point is that this is a pretty revolutionary method to transfer electricity wireless. People can branch off of this and make the tech more effective in the future. So in my eyes, this is not pointless.
If you check the site, it has a name:

"Lord Humongous"

LOL... any vehicle that is a "Lord" is all business.
Oh man, I think it's time to friggn upgrade my wheelchair, and burnanate fools without prejudice.
All of the touch screen functionality, for my crippled hands (and I mean that too, it'd be great)
Holy crap, razor sharp colors in that image. Wonder ho much it'll cost though hahaha... out the ass that's what.
More iPod fan-crap, trying to defend a product that waits for products to force them to release new features. This article is displaying poorly researched information, and biased conclusions, selective descriptions, and a know-it-all disposition.

Don't waste people's time with these crap articles. Also, don't review and draw conclusions on an unreleased product. It's ridiculous, foolish, and unprofessional.

And to the kid comparing it to the battery life of an 80gb iPod... I don't want 80gigs.... and I def don't wanna blow extra money on hd space if all I want is battery life. That's a stupid comparison.
"reptilian creepiness"? Nice I say! Innovations, no matter how inapplicable they could be in the world, are always great to see. This kind of hobby, could lead to the creation of some seriously useful tools in the future. Good job to those students.

Plus, I second the idea of a video of these snakes in motion, it'd be nice to see what the best they have this year is like.
Whaa...? I agree with the steep price, its not worth that much. The screen (3 inches according to here) is at the thin edge of too small to read any text on screen if there happens to be any. That's uncool on a video player, definately. But I would pay money to get a vid-player that sacrifices screen size for a drop in price... oh wait. They didn't.

That thing better have hella battery life, to make up for its other so-far apparent flaws.
Damn. This would be a nifty product... if I weren't mortally afraid of Apple and their MP3 products. I really don't trust them with MP3 players enough, that is, if this thing is for real even.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
