I live in So. Cal and had my motorcycle stolen a few months ago, called the cops. They never came, just took a report over the phone. Drove out of my house to see if someone joy rode it and dumped it, saw five of them pulling people over for no front plates (the do this all the time, got me two weeks before)

Cops are nothing but revenue generators now a days.. I'd hate to become a cop to think I'm going to make a difference and then be stuck writing tickets for BS offences like this one.

"Um, a touch screen on a device that you will be watching videos on? I don't know about anyone else but smudgey fingerprints on a screen I'm watching a viddy on would drive me crazy. SMUUUUUUDDDGGGE! It's dumb and doubtful."

"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
