I work with FANUC industrial robots every day. The average person might find this impressive, but it's nothing too difficult at all.
Why did they limit themselves to the iPhone? Apple's exclusivity agreement with AT&T has gone on far too long for any of the other carriers to care about them anymore. They've moved on, and in the case of Verizon with their Droid, are burning bridges. iDon't think Verizon has any plans to carry the iPhone in the future, and they're the carrier with the network which could truly handle it.

I'm going to say this is a doomed business model before it gets off the ground as long as it's locked in to a locked down phone platform.
I switched from yahoo's mail to gmail because yahoo's user experience is too cluttered, and their spam detection left a lot to be desired.

I never heard of xoopit before today.

Another annoying thing about Yahoo is how they've attached their logo to Flickr's on every page of the site. Screen real-estate is at a premium in most cases and they're doing nothing more than annoy me. I know who owns flickr. Anyone who doesn't is either new to this world or has been holding out on using computers for far too long.
I thought Mac users could run Windows on their computers now.
Any truth to the rumor 1080p output is just a firmware upgrade away?
So as a "gaming device" it will be excluded from any innovative Augmented Reality applications which the iPhone is now seeing, and the PSP (with add-on camera) and Nintendo DSi, are just now falling into.
So you really think the other cell operators are suicidal enough to lease affordable bandwidth to someone who's intent is to slit their throats?
so where is, what happened to quicktime as a video format?
MS or anyone with proper licensing could make a dock for the Zune HD which contains a larger battery, camera, phone chip set, and antenna, and you'd be just as big as if not a little larger than an iPhone.
considering from what I read in comments that MS's wi-fi adapter is 802.11 a, it's going to be hella slow regardless

outdated wi-fi standards (which cost extra)
outdated disc media standards and no move to make a blu-ray equivalent of their HD-DVD adapter... they've had over a year now

they should drop the price by $200 bucks
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
