The number is more like 1/3 #5:

Let's do a simple math here:
-Assume Total PC market in 2005 was 1,000,000 units
-so Total PC Market in 2006 was 1Mil * 1.03 = 1,030,000 units, growth of 30,000 units

-Assume Mac Market share in 2005 was 3%
-So in 2005 30000 Mac got sold
-2006 Mac unit sold = 30,000 unit * 1.31 = 39,300 units, growth of 9,300 units.

- So of 30,000 unit pc market growth, 9,300 was mac ~= 1/3
This is kinda like my high school project 12 years ago.

I kinda discovered as a kid, if you have a tape deck and amp connected by RCA cable, and if you strip and cut one of the 2 wires of the RCA cable, and by holding both end of the cut wire, you can actually conduct music signal.

The audio signal works over the high resistivity of human body, is because if the high V and I ratio keep the power loss to minimal.

The fun part is, you can create human bridge and still work somewhat. Say if you have 2 people, the MORE contact between the 2, the louder the music. heeheeeheee would be a fun game for lovers...

I guess the technology in the article is more about digital signal...

Also, last time I read, Philips has the patent in using human body to transfer data, wonder how Sony has gotten this patent, as music is some kind of data too.
Apple's bonus is PAID thanksgiving week shutdown, and PAID Christmas Week shutdown(in US only I assume). That translate into 6 extra PAID vacation days.

Engadget rules!
Interesting...
So basically it is a HD streamer from mac/PC to TV?
I suppose the USB port means you can hook up an ipod dock or external harddrive.

That would be very sweet!
Make me qwerty or poiuy
I think that outfit looks like Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid.
Pick me, why? because I am willing to pay for shipping and handling and all applicable tax. But you guys have to promise not to put any RFID/GPS in the Treo and track my whereabout.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"My father-in-law is heading back to school in the spring and wants a laptop for Christmas. The only catch is their budget is around $400 and he does not want a netbook. He's not very "tech savvy" at all and doesn't need a hoss of a machine (not that $400 could get you one). We would like to get it for him as soon as possible and would love some input."
