Size is a major issue for most people. If I can't pocket it, it's not going to leave the house very often, and then, what's the point of having it?

605 WiFi (30 gig model) 122 x 82 x 15 mm 190 grams
iPod Touch (largest iPod) 110 x 61 x 8 mm 120 grams

So it's 2 cm wider and taller, and almost twice the thickness. It seems like a very nice product with a beautiful screen, but I doubt I'd take it with me anywhere.
If you want it, you should get it soon. They're stopping production of the 4gb model, and will only be selling he 8gb soon.
Every phone I've had, the ringtones costed $1.99. I never bought any of them, and I can usually figure out a way to get my own on to a phone for free, but I don't think $2 ringtones is out of line with the rest of the market.
You guys just don't understand the point of the product. It's not for playing music, it's not to watch roll around your floor.

No.

You take it to the other side of town and drop it off. It finds it's way back to your house while passing cute asian girls who can't help but follow it.
The bigger it is, the harder it falls. I hope so at least. I'm waiting for them to crack this before I bite.
Seeing as all the last-gen iPods did it, it's safe to assume these new ones will as well.
I want one to hack!
If it really is internet enabled then this is a no brainer. They could build something along the lines of last.fm, where you can see what your friends are listening to (and buy buy buy it!).

If it's multitouch and gets as hacked as the iPhone, it will have my attention.
ME WANTEE!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
