I was there today and had a great time with my two kids. I was the guy in the 'Steve Jobs for President' T-shirt!
I heard directly from Amazon - as reported, the iPhone can't be used to read newspapers - what a huge bummer. I'm dying for an app that can read the WSJ and the FT - I think the NYT app is awesome!
Rob E - "Books only for the iPod/iPhone. You can't download newspapers because they're not supported."

But if you click on a newspaper on the Amazon/Kindle site it says: "Send wirelessly to your Kindle or Kindle for iPhone"

Seems like someone went out of their way to say that it will work for the iPhone???
Is anyone else having trouble getting newspapers to download on the Kindle app? I can do books just fine, but when I try to download a newspaper the website tells me that I don't have a Kindle device.
This was the one feature that had me ready to pull the trigger on the Kindle2 - I'm glad I read this before I ordered it because now I'm not going to - nice job Amazon! Way to show some backbone!
Cablevision => DirecTV
Does anyone know if this is the processor on this is the 65nm or the 45nm version?
I just sent my $100 - my kids will love the plush doll!
I'm not one to put down other company's stuff, but I do find the onerous DRM that MSFT has put into the Zune quite offensive.
Here's what I don't understand - of the 7 people in the US that actually have a Zune, what are the odds that they will ever run into eachtother and be able to use this feature?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
