RIM CEO on BlackBerry Storm: "nobody gets it perfect out the door" {Engadget}

Apr 16th 2009 9:22AM I think the honesty is refreshing. Anybody who knows anything about tech should know that the first product out the door is going to have shortfalls. You pay the price to be an early adopter.

Poll: Has your Xbox 360 been dealt the E74 error? {Engadget}

Mar 20th 2009 9:20AM The 'Red arc of Death' is Ok, but too similar to the RROD.

Feb 27th 2009 12:01PM A quick comment regarding "GPS Capabilities"...

While this may be obvious for many of you, there are some of you who may benefit from the following:

GPS on these phones will not work without a data plan. Rogers AT&T in Canada will charge you for each page 'load' necessary to see any maps, and will also charge a fee per day to activate the GPS functionality. In my eyes, this is a complete rip off. These phones, as they are right now, are no substitute for an actual GPS. The first smart phone that offers REAL GPS functionality, without the hidden costs, will be the first smart phone that I buy.

Frankly, I don't need a data plan for my cell phone. Trying to read/type text on those microscopic screens gives me a headache (with a little dose of carpal tunnel).

Infrared-to-Bluetooth converter roundup: get universal control of your PS3 {Engadget}

Nov 25th 2008 8:18AM Sony really blew this IMHO.

Thankfully someone stepped up with the Bluetooth to IR adapter.

Now me, what I actually need, is a Bluetooth to RF adapter.

(All my components are in another room)
