Well it just seems they want to replace ads of the Wii which they think they can't get any more sells out of with more sells of the DS.

They hope that by advertising the DS instead, I wouldn't say it was about ethics so much as it was about maximising sales over the christmas period. No point advertising something that they believe will sell out without the ads.

Go Ninteno :)
My definition of spyware is that I do not want it and its malicious. Vista I want and it is not malicious because I do not do illegal things with my software.

Though I do love OS X because I could set it up within minutes of turning it on.

Though because you are locked into Apple hardware piracy is not such a problem as it is for Microsoft. I think software pirates suck, they would not walk into a store and steal the physical copy. They are theives without balls :/
That kind of sucks, the cinema will not be the same without the slight grain and the occasional minute flicker. It just adds character, oh well it had to happen one day.
7% is quite a lot, certainly a selling point for me IF it has equal quality in other areas, I would probably pay around $400 extra for the 7% less power wastage.

That is also likely to be a selling point across western europe where concerns over global warming etc. are growing, it certainly seems a interesting TV though in all honesty I would probably still go with a Bravia or the Phillips whatever its called.

Chasqui - We have been able to use the camera for video confrence for years on all 3G phones, at least in Europe. Its a neat feature but not that great, TV on the phone is pretty neat, though only Sky provides channels at the moment afaik.

2004 - http://www.engadget.com/2004/06/09/turn-your-pc-into-a-mac/

It was interesting and worthwhile, quite fun too. Now I have a real Mac but this was the begining of that.

Took me back and was funny at the same time, fond memories.

Great coverage, certainly your best keynote coverage to date.
I am not a Windows fanboy, I am a neutral (I use both Mac and Windows and dable in Ubuntu and use Fedora Core on my servers).

I find it frustrating however when people make incorrect comments and spread FUD mainly because it will make non tech people believe it and in general causes arguments. Surprised anyone uses Linux willingly, I would always have a Mac/Windows backup just incase. I mean Linux has a kernel which is so unreliable I have had to recompile it constantly, mainly happens when I compile binaries.

See what I did there? :P
Awesome, love Vista and look forward to Vienna, I also love my Mac (running 10.4.6) and I think that Vista and Tiger are VERY different. Sadly some Mac fans make all us Mac users look bad :(

Anyway I think that its achievable they have probably had a small team working on it for a while now so it is probably not from a dead start.

I hope its out 2009 or 2010. Why must we argue about which OS is better, neither is, I love my Mac and Windows because they both work and both do their job, Windows is not a bad OS until you start installing crap that messes everything up. You can do the same to a Mac if you install crap programs.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
