As much as I love the idea of the Nokia internet tablet, something like this would completely kill that market. Similar size, more functionality, and cheaper!
It's not just amateur radio, although that's the group that's shouted the loudest about potential interference. Basically, anything that you have plugged into the power line that relies on power as clean as possible, (read: high-end stereo equipment, medical equipment, imaging equipment), is potentially susceptible. If BPL actually gets a wde roll-out in the US, I'd be looking at buying some stock in AC filtration companies.

Somehow, I think that if any of these parties had come out on top in the first round, they would not be complaining. It's the same crap that the left does in the USA - trying to discredit an election by denouncing the process.
The one thing that's nice about this are the free incoming calls in 65 countries (if that's really the case). Most of the country-specific prepaid SIMs charge you for receiving calls everywhere outside of that country's border.
