I wasn't thinking 4th dimensionally. I have a real problem with that.
Is there a reason this doesn't hover?
@LJKelley

I know for sure my PC 8 years ago wasn't the best available, but it was above average at 750MHz and 256MB...a bit of distance from your 1GHz and 512MB. I remember having speed problems when I started running XP on that; I can't imagine trying to run Vista on it.

All new OSes bog down old systems...that's why the new ones are 2 or 3 times faster than the 8 year old ones. Also the reason I have no desire to run Vista on my 2.2GHz, 1GB machine.

New hardware and old software beats old hardware and new software every time.
Even if that were true, LCoS looks better than DLP. There's no rainbow effect created from LCoS. The whole, "It's the mirros," idea was great, but the color wheel holds DLP back. Even the faster wheel and broader color spectrum don't eliminate the rainbow on newer displays. LCoS perfects the technology by eliminating the wheel and the rainbow effect with it. You also don't get the screen-door that you get from plasma and LCD panels.

LCoS is the best of both worlds. I've got a JVC with a 56" image that can't be beat.

Go with an LCoS display. Front or rear projector, they provide the largest and cleanest image.
Yes and no. Having competing standards keeps the big boys going, like Sony and Toshiba. But smaller groups have to figure out which standard to choose to reach the most people...which isn't many on either one yet. Besides the fact that us consumers need to decide as well.

If you look at DVD+R and DVD-R, it worked out ok because the burners today work with both types. If players for HD discs all start working with both types of discs, then yeah, the competition would keep lower prices. Competition is only a good thing when there's a good market FOR competition.
In Soviet Space Station, computer uses you!
Maybe he spent all his Schrute Bucks on Apple TVs and was denied more corporate freebies.

But really, is this bit of info worth the cyber-paper it was written on?
How about Flight of the Bumblebee? It doesn't get any more static than that. Imagine how fast Johnny 5 here could play it.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
