That's so true! They have a TV channel dedicated to people playing Starcraft.
I teach ESL in Korea and have been wanting to get one for quite some time. If I happen to have KT in my rural area of the province of Gangwon-do, I'll be the first to sign up.
It's not? Well that's okay. Any news about S. Korea on USA websites is fascinating to me, because I currently teach ESL in Korea. I especially love it when there are references to Daegu, Won (the currency), and especially the DMZ. I do have to admit, 15 inches isn't that big - and ₩ 3 million is more than I'm willing to pay for anything, even if it were for a decent-sized TV.

Engadget, keep up the South Korean gadget news about companies such as: LG, Samsung, SK Telecom mobile phones, and Hyundai coming! Is there an English feed for South Korea gadget news here? I couldn't find it. If it doesn't exist - please add it!
It's funny - it's 11 PM here (Korea time).
Here's another "don't" to add to the list - even though your Mac is dual voltage 100 ~240 Volts, DON'T use it for long term use! I found that the hard way. For the first two months, my adapter was working well, or so it seemed. What I didn't know is that the computer was slowly dying.

So kids, avoid using the adapter, even if it's dual voltage. Fork over the extra cash for the converter - your data is worth every penny.
@oliver,
I wouldn't say they don't sell iPods. They even have ones manufactured for Korea (that's where I bought a shuffle) - the point is, not many people buy them. It's just the only place I know where they sell them is a department store called E-Mart.

When I talk to students (kids and adults) about the iPod, that's when I have to tell them it's an MP3 player for them to understand what it is.

iPhones, on the other hand, are out of the question. Until SK, World, or Show think Apple will be a popular product in Korea, they won't sell the iPhone.
Hey - there's not enough options! Have you considered that not all Apple fans want/afford the iPhone? I know that sounds crazy here at TUAW. Before I moved to a foreign country - I stuck with my $35/month contract and didn't want to spend more than that. Seriously, $70/month?!?! What the hell!

Another option is that there are some countries it still isn't available in, nor would it likely be available in. I'm an English teacher in S. Korea and Apple is not a prominent company here (LG and Samsung are though). Many Koreans will say, "What's an iPod?" Yeah, that's right, in some places when I have my iPod, I actually feel different and "think different" because I'm one of the few that has one!
Seriously. When I was in the States, I was pissed off how much Congress delayed the initial deadline - it shows that they're weak, and not willing to live up to their word. After months of advertising, the majority of people who listened were not rewarded.

Now, I currently am living in Korea to teach English. I must say you guys in the U.S.A. are lucky to have free TV. In any other country, from what I'm told, there's no such thing as Free TV. You have to pay for cable to get anything. It is much cheaper, but nonetheless, the fact that I have to pay to get anything is not as good as getting it for free - all I care about are just regular TV shows.
Are people being serious here? (Jeffrey your comment is a dead giveaway of facetiousness.)
Were there actually problems? I have a PPC, Tiger G4, and I experienced no problems - but then I don't notice any changes.
I'm confused - I thought the DTV deadline was extended to June 12.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
