People have been using CDMA service in flight for a while now. It is being tested on specific commercial airplanes. Check out Qualcomm's press releases if you don't believe me. I can't find it right now. =

I've even heard of certain Sprint employees who have gotten access to the PRL that can lock onto those on-plane base stations... (heresay, i know. don't flame me for it)

I can see how GSM would interfere, especially with that damned audible crosstalk that people hear in their car stereos. I don't really see how something that passes FCC spec will cause interference. Moreover, putting base stations within a plane would mitigate devices which are on pre-flight to stay at a lower tx power level when paging for service.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
