is this competing with the Toshiba SpurEngine????
Both the mini and this product look great.
But in terms of design i still thing the best looking computer was the Apple G4 Cube.
ok!
this is the firs hack for it!
next:
1.replace the Kensington lock with a sata port!
2.Install linux on it!
Here is an idea:

Poke a hole in its case and rewire it so you can use an external sata hdd!
It would have been better if it was eSata but you will just have to put the 2 devices next to eachother!

Anyone up for this hack?
What Processor does it have?
And how much memory does it have?
can anyone hack it to put linux on it?
Can anyone install Linux on it instead of the os it has?
Even better can it double boot?
If you can put Linux on it you could also put a BT client, ed2k Client, G1+G2 client, IRC+dcc client and Apache.

Cand anyone try this?
Please!
I know that many people criticized the air for not playing well with 3G modems.
Well actually the Air followed the standards while the 3g modems didn't.
The usb standard also specifies the size of the device around the port.

This i hope will make the 3g modem makers follow the standards.

What i don't like is that they didn't followed the standards on the power of the usb port. They increased it so it could fit the dvd writer.
I would have inserted a firewire port too.
Firewire (6 wires) on a macbook offers 8 V compared to the standard usb 5 V i think it would have been sufficient for the dvd writer
exactly about that one i was talking about
He installed linux on it and now has a BT client on it and apache.
But that is one thing and Time Capsule is another.
Time capsule and AEBS are far more powerful both possessor wise and
memory wise.

The guys at this link took the AEBS apart and identified all the
components.
"Samsung K4H651638H-3UCB DDR RAM chips (256Mbit, each). The flash
memory chip from ST electronics in the top right of this picture is a
model M29W128FL, which has a capacity of 128Mbit."
"88F5181 CPU running at 500MHz"

A system with this specs is more adequate for what i need than the
asus one.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
