Fuel Cells ARE electric; they generate electricity which powers the car's electric motor(s). You get all the perks (copious torque, reliability) of battery-electric without most of the negatives (long recharges, ridiculous weight).
I'd just go with the Alpine IDA-X001. Much cleaner looking, and includes a 24 bit burr brown DAC. They can be had for under $300. It doesn't include the 2gb internal storage, but honestly with 160gb iPods nowadays, what's 2gigs good for?
