Microsoft burns our eyes with Vista promo video {Engadget}

Apr 16th 2008 3:47PM You're right! How dare the internal communications/media team work on a video to pump up the sales team. Clearly these camera and media wizards should be in there elbows deep hacking on the Vista Kernel!
Where do you jackoffs come from that seem to think that every single employee of microsoft is a developer, and that they are ALL working on the exact same thing, at the exact same time?

Mar 6th 2008 11:18AM From the looks of it, it doesn't go on a toilet outlet anyway. But it would be useful for capturing otherwise wasted energy from showers/dishwashers/sinks at the very least.

Adding insult to injury: USB 3G modems won't fit in the MacBook Air {Engadget}

Jan 24th 2008 3:20PM How about an External 2.5" HDD Enclosure to make up for the anemic 80GB HD? Ooops, can't do that, most 2.5" HDD's need more than 500ma, so they need 2 USB Ports to get sufficient power.

Apple knows this, because they've had to hack the MBAs external optical drive to get 1A of power from a single port, but I can guarantee you that it won't be available to any other device that needs more than 500ma.

Nov 27th 2007 1:50PM Breating organisms on the surface of the ocean are engaged in "carbon neutral" activities, they're releasing the greenhouse gases they consumed in the course of eating/living. In fact, phytoplankton actually remove carbon from the atmosphere by breathing it in, and then carrying it to the bottom of the ocean when they die.

Digging/drilling up carbon that's been buried for tens of millions of years is adding MORE Carbon to the system than was there.

Burning down millions of acres of trees in the amazon river basin is removing the earths ability to sequester carbon and releasing carbon that had been captured in the last few hundred years.

Vista's SideShow coming to Windows Mobile devices? {Engadget}

Nov 23rd 2007 4:08PM They've actually had this capability for going on two years now. The SideShow team has been using PocketPC devices to demonstrate SideShow for ages. It's just never been in a state to release to the public (only implementing specific features needed for this or that demo).

The Sideshow team has been talking about cleaning it up and releasing it since before Vista's RTM, it's nice to see it's actually getting closer to a reality.

Ad problems fixed -- game on! {Engadget}

Nov 21st 2007 2:54PM Yeah, I'd probably be a little more receptive to a Mac Ad that told me what Mac's did, instead of constantly slagging the competition.
