A lot of people are liking the D-link DIR-655 pre N router right now. I swore off D-link after I had 4 out of 5 OLDER D-link wireless products go belly up, but I saw the DIR-655 being suggested so many times, I gave them another chance. Havent had an issue since I bought it a month ago, and it works great.

Just to note %90 of the pre N stuff wont have the 5Ghz radio in them which the final ratified N's will. If your buying it for N I wouldent expect it to work fully with the final N specefication. Works great with G and B none the less.
No SLI Configurations or Graphic card updates (at least nothing to speak of). You cant even get a single Quad core so you have room for upgrade. I was hoping for more than this. It looks like they just threw a processor in the box and that was it.
Hector from saturn 3..

No Thanks..
This was one of my first thoughts when I saw this idea (OLPC). We will see a video of someone using the laptop to put under the tire of their familys truck to get it unstuck, to get to the market for food or hospital. If someone is given something for free it's usefullness is going to be directly related to it's value in their situation. i.e. a PC might be seen as usefull as a cinderblock and used as such, depending on the persons environment.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
