That'll teach Biff or whatever the Vette owner's name was to buy a Fram air filter.
"The exact reasons for doing this are unknown, but the change was obviously aimed at improving charge distribution across the rev range."

Maybe they did it because the intake manifold runners meet the heads at an extreme angle(they should be going down, not sideways but remember this started life as a truck motor) and would jeopardize the atomization of the fuel into the air stream if they put the injectors upstream more, due to the drastic bends the fuel and air mixture have to go through on their way into the combustion chamber.

Just a thought.

I remember him from CCS!
#14. In your reference to the NSX:

I'm doubting that the R8 will be remembered as one of the greatest handling cars of all time.

The Gallardo is not and will never be.
How could the R8 be?

Call me cynical but Audi and Lambo don't know how to build very communicative cars.

And if they use any part of their current all wheel drive system's technology that is employed in their other vehicles, they won't ever be able to make a truly great handling car that blends driver with machine.

They also didn't employ the legendary Ayrton Senna to help them dial it in like Honda did for the NSX. In that respect, it could not ever be as memorable to actual race fans as the NSX was and still is.

They'll sell some, but at what cost to Audi?
We'll see if it hangs on or gets run over.
Knowing Audi, it will be a valiant effort from VWAG that will soon be justifiably forgotten.
Who decided that there is not a market for an M7?

They could take a lesson from AMG in market strategy
The man who killed Indy survived a crash at Daytona...

...darn.
The one ear thing actually is done to seal off the ear which is listening to the next record in que. The ear left open is listening to the music playing over the loud speakers.

Why is this done?

One ear monitors the music already playing, while the other is listening to the music in que so that it can be beat-matched to flow seamlessly from the current song to the song in que.

It may look silly, but it works very well.
5.8 Seconds?

It's faster than that.

Even the 2 liter was faster than that.
There ARE UV resistant epoxy-resins.

There are so many different types of epoxy-resin that no single person could remember them all.

Trying to learn all about the intricacies of laying carbon fiber or the benefits and difficulties with vacuum bagging it or auto-claving takes a while.
Just like you won't learn how to lay up a perfect weld without first doing research or being taught from someone who knows exactly what they are doing.

Welding is a talent that requires scientific knowledge for it to be done truly correctly.
Carbon Fiber is the same exact way.

If you want to learn how to lay your own carbon fiber, it's not all that hard. It just requires hours worth of knowledge about every single step in the process and how to use the right tools for the job.

Thanks Again-
and now You know.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
