Sep 2nd 2008 11:03PM I need a printer so my wife can get mad at all the computer stuff we have.

Belkin BreakFree adds magnetic breakaway connector to your guitar cable {Engadget}

Jul 22nd 2008 5:23PM @Zak

The mag connector on my mac book pops out with far less pressure than a normal connector would. It pops out with far less pressure than would cause any damage to the computer (by design.) In the world of laptops, that is fine, temporary interruptions in a power source will not shut the computer down, but if this cable comes out in the middle of a song...

the lovre doesn't allow flash photography from what I remember from my visit recently. Also taking a picture of the Mona Lisa with a flash would ruin the picture. The Mona Lisa is behind glass (I assume it is actually an acrylic or Plexiglas) the flash would ruin the picture.

Nyko's Energy Pack keeps your Wii balance board juiced {Engadget}

Jun 1st 2008 10:02AM nothing would happen, I have been using NiMH rechargeable batteries in all 4 of my remotes since shortly after the wii launched. The rechargeables don't have that great of a life (not sure if I got some cheep batteries or something about the wii burns through them.)

A friend of mine uses the energizer e^2 batteries and they last a very long time, enough to make them a very economical choice. Once my rechargables wear out completely I am planning on using the e^2 myself.

Phase One introduces elusive 645 medium format camera platform {Engadget}

Mar 19th 2008 10:54AM I think there are more that read engadget than the number of comments suggests. I and a few of my photographer friends read engadget news for general gadgets, but when we want to discuss photography seriously we go to a site the focuses on photography. On dpreview, for example, I can find a conversation about something very specific and not be bombarded with all the comments about how expensive it is, or why I should get a cannon/nikon/pentax...
