If they want to make a touchscreen blackberry they can take some tips from LG's Voyager. Touchscreen and qwerty make for awesomeness.
Gotta admit though, it looks a hell of a lot better without the camo paint job or whatever it was sporting before.
It's obviously meant to compete with the Imac. Don't make lame hater comments just because you like to feel important.

Back on topic...Aesthetically this definitely leaves Sony's recent attempt in the dust. I don't think it will revolutionize gateway and get them back on track, but it will go a long way to helping their image if they can follow it up with a few more offerings held to this standard.

Upgradeability is a plus too. Drop the price a bit more and this will easily beat out mac's.
Count me in...here's hoping...
Ya, maybe I'm crazy, but of all the announcements from apple, the 160GB classic got me the most excited. Even though the touch has every feature everyone wanted it to have (web browser, wifi music store), I still kinda feel like it was a let down. Dunno, maybe I'm just crazy.
To continue the Vista topic, I find all the Vista detractors to be High-larious.

Mostly because this was the exact, and you can quote me on this, the EXACT same spiel we got when XP first came out. XP is worthless. You're paying for nothing but a fancy theme.

Don't get me wrong, I use Vista, and I downgraded back to XP after a bit. It's frustrating yes, but when you compare a 5+ year old OS to a 1+ year OS...gee...lemme guess...the 1 year one has more bugs?

Fact is, on a machine with decent specs, Vista is nicer to use when it's working. Things that aren't working now, won't stay that way. Have patience and don't write something off because it doesn't blow your mind. That's the same as supermodel syndrome as I call it (when all you see is supermodels, you feel like getting yourself anything less is a let down).

Do yourselves a favor, and instead of saying how much Vista sucks, be one of the people letting MS know how to make it better. If Vista gets better...you don't lose...it's better for you.
Entry #whatever. Here's hoping...
This would rock...
Seeing as how my gadget quotient is and will be at an all time low for some time to come, gotta say thanks for giving me hope Engadget. Here's hoping.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
