There is an Enterprise program that lets companies create their own in-house apps. No idea if these apps need to be approved too though?

Does it all for you, just input the images.
You say no resale value.. but, assuming these rumors of having to activate new iPhones when buying one is true, then theres no more buying a iPhone and then unlocking it. So rev 1 unlocked iPhones still have value!

hmmm so close to being a pretty good HTPC
Hmm we need clarification here.

A Web-Kit browers I understand. i.e. the Safari rendering engine, with their own UI on top.

But "Safari" suggests its not only WebKit, but also the UI and functionality on top of that that Apple have that they consider to be "Safari"

Its remotely possible I guess, being officailly "Safari" may up the useage stats and get people more aware, rather than splitting Safari into that and WebKit.
This is all about future products. Everything is going mobile, getting smaller and more efficient. So apple now own a company that can make very efficient processors for all the future mobile devices they have in store.
This is not a replacement for intel chips in desktops. It is for all the mobile devices that they have not announced yet.
my first thought... HTPC
Oh dont even start the Windows/Mac exploit crap. Its a computer, all computers are suceptable to virii.

Some one mantioned that it looks likely it supports HDi as it has the HDDVD logo on it. If you dont meet the HDDVD eqruirements then supposedly you cannot use the logo.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
