i have SP3 and an old (amd athlon xp-m 2400) AMD. windows was fast before. didn't notice much of a difference but then there wasn't supposed to be. SP3 is mostly a pack of updates.
nope. i'll assume you're reffering to "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles".

in that show, the terminator is Summer Glau. she's in Firefly, Serenity, The 4400.

confused...this isn't new. i read about this project several years ago and even the most recent updates are only from janurary. not sure why this was posted now.
well i suppose this might have affected those who have WGA installed. i have a legitimate copy of windows yet find no reason to install software that gives me absolutly no advantage whatsoever.

i do not install software the calls home for no reason WGA included. if i need to download something from MS' site, their alternatives works just as well.
now i'm not usually one to complain about engadget, but comeon! a steam iron? we're all geeks and posting about a steam iron is kind of weird.
indeed. hey, we engadget readers are educated in technology and should all use RSS. i was so happy when i discovered it.

i fail to see the point in these posts. RSS FTW!
at stock, yup you're right. but with all the mods, you basically get a pretty quiet thin PC. shouldn't be difficult to run linux on the thing. that should allow you to do a lot more then the sling can.
if they do this right and make it have the shell of the iPhone, yet without the phone functions, this could be a hit. assuming they price this under $300, i'm in!

my mini is getting a bit long in the tooth...
i belive it is the GPU too from what i understand from a similar article posted in dailytech:

http://www.dailytech.com/Xbox+360+to+Get+65nm+Falcon+Makeover+This+Fall/article7972.htm

they say the CPU and GPU will get a 65nm shrink named falcon.
the interesting thing is how many suckers there are. hte iphone is undoubtly a beautiful creation. i'm not an iphone hater. all i'm pointing out, is that it isn't smart to buy the 1st gen units. apple will eventually fix all the issues in the v2 release. they always do. just like with the ipod.

from reviews i've read, the call quality isn't the best. they call it a useful toy. i assume it will soon be hacked and then much more useful. it is just surprising the apple has already sold 1M iPhones.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
