Yeah...makes this white brick absolutely useless to me. I cant even figure out what the hell it is. I can download to a computer and watch any video on any screen I want. Or I can burn movies onto a DVD that my $50 DVD player from Wal-Mart can play.
I...dont...understand.
Absolutely agreed. Has everyone in the business a few years ago died? Sure...models change, tehchnologies change, but the fact remains: Youtube is built on a platform anyone can build - there is no technology to "protect" - no algorithm...no assurances of market domination. There are dozens of better ones out there already, first movers never win in this business, and if you take away all their illegal content youre left with 12 year old girls reading bad poetry. Google bought eyeballs and nothing more, and we know in this business eyeballs are fleeting. 1.65 bil? Yer outta yer minds.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
