all those comments and not a single coherent thought. wow.

guess what guys, ATT is the biggest company with the most customers by a mile. Apple doesn't want to be on any rinky dink network like .. pfft.. Sprint? Wow...

Uh, you do realize that ATT is giving hudreds of dollars to Apple for each iPhone customer, right? Hence, they get exclusivity on the best phone in the world?

Some of you are so ignorant as to the agreement between Apple and ATT, you shouldn't really be commenting on here.

And by the way, for the record, IF VERIZON HAD AS MANY CUSTOMERS AS ATT, THEIR NETWORK WOULD BE DOWN TOO.

Get it?
and the scary part for MS, besides the fact that they've totally lost on Mobile Internet devices, Origami not withstanding, is that Apple pretty much took a year off in terms of product releases. Everything Apple's done has been in the background, ramping up for some big Tablet thing in early 2010. Even in Software, OS X has a new modern infrastructure at its core, so Windows just apes Leopard for features, and a shiny new UI.

When Apple drops the bomb in 2010, I think its going to make MS look retro. Again.
"numb up to this fact"

what? numb up?

you mean like, wake up? Where did you get this expression?
@AtomicPlayboy

why do you feel you deserve to be treated like an adult? have you seen the kind of comments on here? You must have missed all the star wars references to a recent Motorola phone.
ahahhahahahashutup.

what do you expect? george clooney doing an ad for a phone company.

here's a hint: big starts have actual careers and do MOVIES.

washed up stars do TV shows and then...commercials.
Watch it. They just got _caught_ in the UK.

How do you know it's not happening in the US?

Companies do this kind of thing all the time.
Plus its not ATT, its T-Mobile, so their not exactly printing money--maybe they have to resort to 'alternative income streams.'
so now bad design is 'innovation'..?

wicked.
1) EDGE isn't as fast but it gets you on the Internet. In other words, many people just see the map, and think, oh, wow, ATT coverage sucks, they don't think "wow, their 3G coverage sucks, I wonder what their EDGE coverage is like"

Verizon isn't lying, they're just not being forthcoming with the whole story. And that should actually hold up in court.

2) Try comparing that USA map to a map showing population density in the US. Guess what? Not alot of people live in Alaska.
Up through the middle of the country too. That's why there are particular coverage zones according to Population density, not just, "Lets make the whole map blue"

3) As has been said before, ATT is the big dog. They have coverage around the world, which apparently, Verizon does not. So business travelers are not going anywhere near the Droid. As if a business customer would play with Android anyway.
Congratulations you just lumped in iPod touch and Zune in the same category since the "Does it have Games" checkbox gets a tick.

Typical PC fanboy.

Pal, by the time Zune gets the app delivery system and software in the hands of developers, and can convince devs to write games for a plaform with a userbase of about 500,000, then we can talk.

Till then, iPod touch and iPhone take over the world.
iPhone already redifined games delivery and digital distribution and touch screen gaming.

Onlive? Pfft... They're just tagging along for the ride.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
