I wasn't wondering why the comment got deleted; I was making the point that TUAW gives more attention to ridiculous comments like that one by deleting it and effectively ignoring the legitimate comments like mine. I wasn't condoning what was said. :-)
Why do my legitimate questions get ignored while another person's request that Laurie be fired ASAP gets the attention of being deleted?
Scott:

How many hours per day (or week) will you be expecting your new bloggers to commit to TUAW?

Are you looking for any particular age range--any minimum or maximum ages? I notice that this post is targeted at the "kids" and I'm wondering how young of kids you want. And what of the young at heart? :-)
"Seems like the iPod is still hip and with it, much like this humble blogger. Cool, daddio."

*wince*
I haven't actually tried this solution, but most others along these lines end up being more time-consuming than simply rebooting into Windows. You would, after all, have to close out all of your applications for optimal performance anyway. And booting into OS X from XP is much quicker than booting from OS X to XP. On my new Intel Mac it takes under 15 seconds to start OS X.
Scott:

Okay, you win. You know I'm just teasing you anyway. It would have to be (was) a slow day for me as well to bother commenting, which I rarely do. :)

And yes, I think you've justified yourself sufficiently now.
Why would you pay for anything written by Woz? He's the most annoying personality I think I've ever seen on the Colbert Report. I really can't understand what is so great about the guy. If he were still making himself useful (which, you know, he's not), that would be something entirely different.

Good grief!
After having this and several other problems with my MacBook, and after having it replaced three times at the local Apple Store, I finally decided that it was a better investment to get an iMac instead. I made the exchange last Thursday and I haven't had any of the Airport (or plethora of other) problems with the iMac. :)
Doesn't Steve give a keynote at every MacWorld? Or perhaps that's just been the case in the last few years I've been following the company.

I usually don't join in with the people saying "Oh, I don't know what it's going to be, but I know I'm going to buy it!!" (The only exception was when I got the MacBook the day after it came out, but I had already been needing a laptop) BUT, I did get my iPod stolen and the cellphone I have is one of those that the carriers just give away with a contract (I didn't like any of the ones at the store at the time), so if the iPhone functions well as both a cell and an iPod, they'll probably have me as a customer.
Ken R:

Yes, but Scott likes to recycle posts like these in order to justify having a job at TUAW. Honestly, I believe this is the third time (at least) that I have read a post of Scott's saying how fascinated he is by icons and linking up to the HIG. Must be a slow day....again...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
