First, the front end has been dictated to a major exent by current and pending European (soon to be World) pedestrian safety standards which Honda meets with it's ACE architecture. Better get used to the basic shape of the nose because more vehicles will have one like it very soon.

The 'shield' is not really that bad and it is apparently an aerodynamic aid to better control cooling for the engine. Remember that Honda has always been primarily about the engineering first, the fashion second.

Making an arguably bold attempt to combine the two seems on first blush to be a failure but in toto the lines work together much better than the 'flame surfacing' applied to so many BMW models.

Who cares about the total number of buttons? Any ergonomist will agree that a dedicated button is faster and more accurate than any multi-function one. It is also significantly safer than a touchscreen or iDrive style controller as it requires less distraction from your main purpose being in the vehicle: driving safely.

I won't get one because the engine requires premium fuel. Send me a diesel and I will be much happier.

More room, more features, more power, more grip and still you are unhappy?

I don't know about you but when I drive I do it from inside my vehicle where the experience of hearing the beautiful sonds of a well designed V-6 underscoring a DVD-A recording of Porcupine Tree by Deadwing playing through the ESL sound system in a climate controlled environment on the Sea-to-Sky Highway makes me VERY happy.

It is all about perspective. Are 7 or 8 automatic gears really better than 5? Are 16 or 12 or 10 cylinders really better than properly engineered 6's? Is an RWD-based AWD system really that much better than a FWD-based one?

I respond by asking this...is the glass hafl empty or half full?

Manswer?... it depends on who is pouring!
Mack has had NG-fueled City vehicles for years. Expanding the technology to OTR trucks was discarded due to the limited refueling centres. While it may make advertorial sense it does not represent a real advancement.
Bourne.... like donuts for Homer only different
Mmm me like 2 win, me b very happy
C'est magnifique!
ALL telephone companies supply US Law Enforcement agencies with records of calls and have had for years, long before 9/11.

The US Supreme Court has ruled in the past that these Third Party records are NOT protected and do not enjoy any privacy. Watch any police drama on television and it is Standard Procedure to retreive telephone logs absent a Warrant.

While the numbers called and received are logged, so the provider can bill for services, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY they can record the substance of the conversations; the band width required would be astronomical.

Knowing who is calling and being called has helped solve many crimes and will continue to do so. If Law Enforcement has a list of suspect numbers that show up in a log I feel they should have access to that information like they have for years.

As to the NSA evesdropping, the truth is that William Jefferson Clinton used Echelon for domestic surveillance during his tenure without any Congressional support nor active terrorist threat, so be careful what stones you throw.

BTW, as a Canadian I haved no poitical bent when it comes to the US.
Well, well, well. I for one drive a diesel Jetta that gets 50+MPG/4.7 l/100km all year long; my CO2 production per mile driven is less than any gasoline powered vehicle on the market. That reults in lower taxation in many EC countries.

Now for Global Warming. The Earth is a dynamic system always changing so as a result climactic change is inevitable. Wow we must be powerful to affect that, huh? If we are the cause why can't we stop it?

How arrogant a statement is Al Gore's about Global Warming compared to his statement about inventing the Internet? Look at the source my friends.

We cannot predict weather with any degree of accuracy 7 days away but we can predict massive climatic changes decades in the future? The largest, most powerful computers in the world are tasked with predicting weather and still no consistent success.

Increasing global temperature and CO2 levels WILL BENEFIT plants who use those things to grow and flourish, giving off O2 as a by-product. Sounds good to me- more food and better air.

While humans are quite possibly the most numeric mammals on the planet, termites out weigh us and their flatulence is methane; a much more dangerous 'greenhouse gas'. No filters on their butts now are there?

Dairy cattle burps in the San Joaquin Valley of California, where the herd represents 25% of the total US Dairy Cattle population, are a proven cause of the poor air quality in that area. No catalytic converters there either.

Ontario, Canada had it's warmest winter on record; dating alllll the way back to 1948. How old is the Earth? 100,000,000 years or so? That represents 0.00005%, not a very good statistical sample if you ask me.

The Danube is at the highest flood levels in a CENTURY due to the coldest and snowiest winter in a CENTURY. In fact all of Western Europe and Russia experienced the coldest winter in that time; still only 0.0001% of the Earth's life. Wow that percentage is TWICE as large but still really small.

I am making my own bio-diesel this spring until fall. At $0.20/litre I cannot lose and stand only to benefit. Sunoco, which already has arguably the best diesel fuel in the market, will be offering a bio-diesel blend this time next year.

As to melting ice caps causing flooding. Try this, put ice in a glass and fill it to the brim. Wait and see how much spills out when the ice melts. See my point?

They call it Mother Earth for a reason. You can never mess with a Mother without her getting even. Remember, Nature abhors a vacuum so there are things in place to balance it out. As powerful as we may belive we are, the last eruption of Mt. Pinatubo was greater than ALL of the munitions man has EVER exploded and the resulting dust cloud cooled the Earth by 1 degree C for the next year. Can't predict earthquakes or eruptions any more reliably than the weather now can we?

"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
