With that being said I am still skeptical about the iPhone. I think the idea and design are top notch. I think the interface is top notch. I would buy the phone for just having wifi since not too many other phones besides a couple HTCs can do that. But I have used touchscreen keyboards and have not been that impressed. I like being able to feel the buttons. Im sure the iPhone team has figured out a fool proof way to prevents mistypes but I still want to be able to know I hit a button and not see it. Software has a better chance of malfuncioning then hardware. What if my battery goes bad? I would have to send my whole phone off just to get fixed. I dont know about you guys, but I would go nuts if i didnt have my phone for more than an hour, much less days or weeks. How come no one is making a big deal out of the glass front? I think that is a stupid idea personally. Glass can break and scratch easily especially when its in your pocket along with change and maybe keys. Im still not sold on having an mp3 player on my phone. Id rather have all of my music on my 80gb ipod then some of it on my iPhone. I think the youTube idea is kind of stupid. I, personally, do not sit around and browse youTube videos all day. But maybe some people do and would want that luxury. I do think that the iPhone is getting oversaturated in the media. I see a commercial for it at least 10 times a day on every channel at all hours of the day and night. I dont ever watch that much TV.
All in all, I am an Apple fan but am not completely sold on the iPhone yet. And I emphasize YET. All of my opinions may go out the window once I get a hold of one and actually use it. But to each his own.
