thank you for my 'laugh at the simple' item of the day
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AVCHD

"AVCHD is a format for the recording and playback of high definition video. Video is compressed in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format, and audio is recorded in Dolby Digital.[1] AVCHD and the AVCHD logo are trademarks of Panasonic corporation and Sony corporation.[2]"
Sorry, I love this design-
I'd kill for a Winmo flip version

the last decentwindows flip was the kyocera 7135.. why do the damn screens always need to be exposed? I'm harsh on my phone.. I want the touchscreen inside when not in use.

Want a REAL laugh?

the recall kit? it's SAFTEY STICKERS!

Looks very similar to tomy armstrong
http://images.google.com/images?gbv=2&hl=en&q=+site:www.theoldrobots.com+tomy+armstrong+robot

and it had arms that could life a 2l bottle of soda,
and a microphone/PA system to boot!

(and yes, if memory serves, 6 hrs charge, 1 hr run time as well)
or try dogshit.engadget.com

hmm? coming soon?

why if it's triband GSM is it being run through the FCC?

you only run it through the FCC if you want a US release, and that requires quadband GSM....

weird...?? am I missing something?
I'm thinking I would love this for a retrofit into the elevator (4 story) at my work... real simple installation.....
$269.99 at dell-- not 400...
having an sr1- 7 hours at high quality.. hard to do.. that said, I've gotten close- here's what I did, I had 20 minutes of hd space left

first, I deleted 2 files (added 10 minutes) of crap, then I changed rec quality to SD and had 3 hours left.....
300mhz, time 4 cores.. 1.2ghz in additional processing.....

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
