Engadget;

I love you. I really do. You complete me......
Engadget, you are by far the most interesting single-serving friend I have ever met...."

I would fly with you anywhere.

I agree - the U.S. education system has failed. This country has failed. I can't wait until my daughter's application with Taliban U or Iran College is finally processed. Oh wait, she's a woman. Drat. Darn oppression.

Well, there is always China or some South America university....

Nimrod.
Not if the Chinese do it first.

And least ye forget, they are STILL pissed at Japan over WWII...

Never cared much for the stores.

However, I do feel bad for all those employees who are about to lose their jobs...especially the ones with a mortgage / rent & children.
You are ignorant. In my country (UK), homeless people take shopping carts or whatever else is lying around so they can carry what they need down the street.

Of course, what do u know about the homeless? You're probably one of those fat lazy people from France who work 2 hours a day.
err...dude....you don't need to travel to far to see evidence of drug induced brain damage.

Just travel to your nearest Apple store and see the hipster / petuli oil wearing "genius bar" pot-heads.

Yep. I've seen it on AVS Forum. As a member there, I'm constantly amazed by the behavor of several long-time members. These are guys with 5,000 + posts, early, EARLY adopters with a lot of disposible income and people who make a pretty impressive salary doing whatever they do for a living. Which is why it is puzzling to me when I see those folks writing threatening comments against other members (i.e, physical harm) and THREATENING the moderators and the owner of that web-site with legal action should their posts be deleted!

Well, what those idiots don't get is the First Amendment means bupkis on a private web-site and the moderators have every right to delete, edit and remove those morons AND call the police when threats are leveled at other members.

Just my rant.

*gets off soapbox*
Hey nimrod;

Try strolling around South Africa (my home country) or Italy with your girl-friend for a few nights - see what happens.

Violence, murder, carjackings and rape are the norms over here.

We don't see too many folks trying to get into our country. I'd sell my left arm for a chance to live in the USA.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
