> I think GM will be keeping Vauxhall.

I don't see how Vauxhall and Opel can be separated since they are the same thing (apart from a few badges here and there). Gone are the days when Vauxhall actually had different cars to Opel. Even the model names are the same. Opel without Vauxhall would be an unattractive proposition for Fiat, or anyone, I'd have thought.
>I was just thinking the same thing. Maybe the poor guy just can't drive standard. :D

Don't forget, this is London. If you take your driving test in an auto, that's all you're allowed to drive.

99.9% of people in the UK learn to drive a car with a manual gearbox.
>Put an ipod connector, mini-jack connector, or ipod dock on that and im there

There's a line-in jack for your iPod.
I have, and love, the GX100 and although it looks nothing in photos, it's a very nice thing to hold and built very well from metal and all things good quality. It makes your typical little Canon look like a child's toy when you see them together in the flesh.
How come you never reported the Chrysler Voyager gettin a much worse score than this in the EuroNCAP tests a couple of weeks ago?
The Voyager got an OVERALL 2-star score, with one star struck through because of a high risk of life-threatening injury.
SHOPPING Lamborghini and Bugatti? What does that mean exactly? The use of language on this site is getting worse. First it's 'dropped', now 'shopping'. I've really no idea what that actually means.
Top Gear needs a reality check like this to curb their self-indulgent antics. As the programme 'progresses', Clarkson and his bitches look more and more like the sort of drunken morons you find talking nonsense very loudly at the bars of overpriced pubs in the home counties. Clarkson has another show where he puts lightbilbs in microwave ovens to see what happens. Top Gear is merging into that show.
So I'm with the locals. I'd much rather not have a bunch of overpaid middle-aged idiots anywhere near my house. Time for them to grow up a bit. They've got boring.
So is this going to be Volvo's diesel entry to the US market? A 2.4 diesel with auto box only... sounds like it might be their challenge to win diesel drivers away from VW/Audi.

It amazes me that the S40 has such a range of engines for a relatively low volume model. In Europe especially, where you can get 1.6 petrol or diesel, 1.8 petrol, 2.0 diesel, 2.4 diesel or petrol and 2.5 diesel.
No surprise here. Film cameras will go the way of vinyl records and those funny old round pin plugs we used to have in the UK. Before long CDs and DVDs will follow and everything will be different. It's called history. Or it will be.
Here we have a very good example of why you shouldn't use the word drop to mean 'release' when you also mean 'not release'.
Nobody in their right mind will pay £425 for this. But it'll be £199 before too long, then £150....
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
