This isn't that new of a procedure, and I'm looking at getting it instead of Lasik because of the ability to simply take the lens out and replace it with a new one if your eyes change. With Lasik your burning down your cornea in order to reshape it correctly, and there's only so much to burn away. Check out http://www.visianinfo.com/ . Seems like most of my local Lasik centers do this as well, but I have quite a few pennies to save up myself.
I was sleeping once when I had just bought my house, and with tired eyes and a foggy mind I thought there was a man standing in my kitchen across from the bedroom. After yelling and running towards the door I finally realized it was just the black of the fridge contouring against the white of the cabinets... Freaked me the hell out, and still to this day it creeps me out every time I glance over into the kitchen and see that perfect man shaped contour in the dark.
It probably has something to do with the fact that the Veyron was electronically limited to 254mph because that was the safest max speed that the custom ultra top speed super tires could go with out risking killing the customer (while still setting the top speed at the time). I doubt the TT has tires anywhere near as capable as the Veyron, but when your only claim to fame is having the current highest top speed then who cares about safety?

Besides, in the time it takes the SSC to reach 257mph, the Veyron can hit 254mph, come to a complete stop, and then take off again and get to well over 220mph. Sure, that's just taken from performance numbers online and real world might be slightly off, but I think it still shows how much ridiculously faster a Veyron really is. There's just no comparison......at least until it comes time to pull out the check book.
pretty please with sprinkles on top?
That's a HUGE bit... wait no... That bitch is crazy!
I just think its ridiculous that you can't get a mk2 TT in the states with a 6 spd manual, quattro, AND a 2.0t. You either have to get the 3.2l and deal with getting minimal out of it unless you spend big bucks, or your stuck with the TTs and the S-tronic. Sure S-tronic may be faster, but I want my manual transmission!
Hrmm. Just gotta figure out if I'm going to take my 69 Z28 all orginal show car, or my dad's 69 Z11 Pace car with A/C and power steering. God I love the Z28, but 100F texas heat with no A/C isn't pretty. Still, at least I wouldn't have to worry about the pizza getting cold on the way home, lol.

Anyone know what kind/size pizza they are giving away?
ditto on the Road to Ruin
oh, and I can see myself at the corner at 8:40 :-)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
