@kopmis why, yes, it *did* occur to me that they were in a conference hall, at least for the presentation part. How that prevents them from using a tripod (or a discreet monopod), I'm not entirely clear. Not to go all flame-y here, but there are all sorts of great technologies available these days to stabilize cameras. A tech blog should avail themselves of such.
Couldja guys please, please, PLEASE invest in a el-cheapo tripod? They're, what, $40? Then I could actually watch your videos. As it stands, I'll have to go with your text description so I don't get airsick.
Any recommendations for a bag that'll hold a MBP 15" plus a full DSLR?
Uh, Hollywood is less than 3% of the California economy, according to the office of the Governor.
Why do people always insist on making your kind of snide comment when the word "bible" is mentioned?

As someone who doesn't have a horse in this race, I see that kind of behavior on both sides. Both the religious (who insist on telling people how to live their lives) and the anti-religious (who insist on mocking religion) seem to respond on a knee-jerk level.

I suggest both sides lay off. Anti-religious folk can feel smug and superior in their knowledge. Religious folk can too. Ignore the others. You're not going to change their minds. Stop trying to tell them how to live. Stop passing laws controlling their behavior. If gays want to marry and live in sin, that's their problem, not yours. If people want to read the Bible and believe it's the literal word of God, that's their delusion, not yours. You don't need to tell people they're going to hell for their transgressions. You don't need to prove that faith is irrational.

Just believe your own thing, live your own life, and stop obsessing about what other folks do/believe.
For reference, I did gain space.

So that last figure, the bytes used, is the objective measure.
tekdroid: most of the good outdoors-style GPS units take removable batteries, including units from Garmin, Magellan, and others. Most of the Garmins use AAs; not sure if the Magellans do.
Steve Job's health concerns are pretty much baked into the price of Apple shares right now. I don't imagine we'll see that much of a long-term dip (percentage wise) based on this or other rumors, even if confirmed. His death would have a larger effect, but even that will have only a moderate long-term effect, unless there are a number of missteps by the company subsequently. I'd expect a big momentary dip due to panic spending, but either the company has long term value or it doesn't. I don't think any rational investor believes that today's Apple is a pure Steve company.

Disclaimer/Disclosure: I own a pathetically small number of Apple shares.
thanks for the memories!

"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
