At first, I was like whuh? For an E-ink display? But, you're kind of right actually. I hadn't thought of that. Apparently the technology is available to do that, so indeed it's probably possible. Wonder if they've thought of doing that.
Amazon, seriously. Did anyone complain about the scrollwheel?? Why take that away? I thought everyone loved that. It was one of the things functioning perfectly on the device. One of the big pains was having the damn buttons along damn near the entire side of both sides of the device, causing them accidentally get pressed while reading.

I do like the look of the back however. Looks like they went with the same texture of the back of the original iPhone that Apple unfortunately dropped when they changed to plastic in the iPhone 3G. I don't know. We'll see.
Okay okay. so I didn't click on the link that took me to the website demo'ing the watch. My bad. I 'Kind of' get the point now. :) Still, not for $250.
Okay, maybe I could understand Digital E-Ink watches. But what's the point of an Analog E-ink watch?? At that point you might as well use actual paper or in this case some other hard material to print on since that's what E-Ink is trying desperately to match and on an Analog watch the only thing that's going to move are the hands which in the representation above are physical anyway. :-)
Yeah, it looks a bit odd. But these days it seems that you never know until you try things out. We might all get surprised. Or not...
LOL!!!!!!!!!!
Something told me it was going to be much sexier than this. Hopefully these pics aren't doing it justice.
The other areas where Palm has failed are obvious. Maybe I shouldn't have assumed that everyone would get that since it has been discussed so much. So probably my bad there. The launching of this supposedly remodeled device, supplied with several of what's become Palm's now static shortcomings is only compounded by how bad this thing actually looks. Call a spade a spade. It looks like a freakin’ brick.
OMG! Look at how thick that thing is!

Come on Palm. What's up wit dat? Sad so so so so sad. "Palm. We use to love thee. Yet now you're forcing us to flee." :(
Is it just me? -Or is it becoming really painful to watch Palm go through this sad slow walk towards its death.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
