Is this to distract people from the Barnes & Noble reader that is coming soon. When Kindle for PC was first mentioned, it was for use by Kindle owners. It seems as if this requirement now been dropped, so we can all get those $9.99 ebooks, without spending $259 on the reader.
US immigration requires/required an HIV test as part of the green card application process. The regs required a doctor to draw the blood. A nurse or phlebotomist, who would have far more experience in the whole needle business, was not permitted. This was a nasty, painful experience and I had a giant bruise for some time afterwards. A bot like this: too visible; too scary; I'll take the doc instead.
The Drobo is a great product. I am puzzled why the 'Pro' takes twice as many drives and yet costs 3 times as much. This is a box, some clever software and a power supply, so the price is a little high, at first glance.
Can you open another foreground app to something else and keep listening? Public Radio app can't do this. Is this an iPhone limitation?
Canon 1D series camera bodies take both SD and CF. That covers lots of professionals.
Not confused but maybe I was responsible for the thread drift. I just thought there were easier hits in the saving money/heat/water space.
There is more to be saved from insulating your hot water pipes, surely. This is cheaper and easier to do...and still alarmingly rare. When we built a house about 8 years ago, the builders had no interest in any of this stuff. I had to insulate the pipes myself. Grey water collector? Forgetaboutit.
This is great value. The keyboard is great but be warned the battery may die early. We have three X60 ThinkPads including the X60 tablet. We have had battery [non-incendiary] failures on two of them. They used to offer this with XP, which would be even better.
The link seems to be dead for now...
For my next underwater video conference...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
