— Something nice about us!
Please God, let this be true and more often.
Yeah, and US and Europe satellites could jam China's. Or Europe's could jam US' and China's. Or all other possible combinations. However, it's more profitable to state it the way it was done in the article right?
This is about a release in Brazil, right? What's the tango in the title then, bozos?
I laugh at the ignorance of these people. I'll laugh even more when that ignorance translates to no sales.
Indeed, 400 bucks is at least twice the minimum wage in Brazil. (But brazilian minimum wagers still manage to buy TV sets that expensive, ah, the power of soap operas.) And if import taxation is applied, increase the price by at least 60%. I'm serious.
Sorry, you're late.
Much more probably, the news mean that the XBox dudes were called to work on the problematic "piece" of Vista that is equivalent to 60% of the code. Which no way means they're going to erase them all and start anew.

But you know, nowadays if there's no hype (positive or negative) there's no news.
But the bill has to pass Senate and, if I know my share of French politics, then, surprise, it won't.
I don't think this has anything to do with Chinese politics. (For example, had Brazil not ended its state monopoly on telephony a few years ago, Skype would be at threat there too.)

The situation here is the same as the one involving P2P file sharing and the recording and movie industries, mutatis mutandis: Some pretty disruptive technology rings the "they're threatening our dated biz model" bell somewhere.

And if the "carriers sort out the marketplace" let's be prepared for DRM, telco style.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
