Aug 20th 2008 4:28PM Dude, maybe its just not your bag.....there are many games other people enjoy the hell out of that I cant enjoy for the life of me.
In fact at first I though Warhawk wasn't going to be my thing, but now its my drug of choice. Every time I break free from its grip I get pulled right back in.

Doesn't have to be a fast charger, in an emergency you could sit and wait a while just to get enough charge to get you to a fast charge station.

Jul 22nd 2008 5:04PM AAA and other similar services could always have generators which you would call in an emergency and they would recharge you enough to get you to the nearest charge station.
They could also have emergency charge stations along the highways (ie. every other light pole)

Jul 22nd 2008 5:01PM Cars are much cheaper than horses if you take into account the VALUE you get out of a car vs a horse. Can a horse run 70mph for 30min to get me to work on time? Do I need to feed my car 3 times a day (food is a lot more expensive than gas, guess the where the term "Eat like a horse" comes from)? How much is a vet bill when a horse gets sick vs taking the car to a mechanic?
So yes, considering what it takes to use a horse as a form of transportation, the car was a more viable cheaper solution.

Jul 22nd 2008 4:25PM Keep em coming, this is where it starts. All good technologies start at the high end and works its way down.
Think of it this way, before Ford introduced the Model T in the US do you think cars were cheaper than horses? Most people used horses and bicycles because cars were rich people toys.

Jul 18th 2008 11:20AM This is how all technology starts. First the really high end expensive stuff comes. Then with what they learn during development, the lower cost stuff comes.
This is a good thing, we'll be seeing lower cost EVs in no time.

Jul 18th 2008 7:51AM Must we go through this with you guys over seas every time?
You can't do a direct currency conversion between the US and any other country. You have to take into account other factors in account. Cost of living, the fact that Americans have to pay for healthcare while EU gets it free, differences in local taxes (US prices never include tax while in EU most countries include some form of tax in the price), difference in wages (in US minimum wage is a little over $5). In the EU people make on average more money than people in US.
