First look at the Envy 133's instant 5-second OS {Engadget}
Jul 16th 2008 7:33AM This isn't really a complaint about Vista's boot time, but boot times in general. The fact that you have to wait for the computer to turn on can be annoying.
Lets say you have to get to the airport and just as you're getting into the car you realize you don't know the exact directions. You run to your computer to check how to get there on your favorite map site. The instant boot to a simple web browser is useful and saves you time.
This isn't to replace Vista or go nanana I boo faster, but to make your computer a little more useful.

Jul 1st 2008 3:25AM That's pretty childish of you for banning people because they point out your story is old. Yes something 3 days old is old when you're working in news, especially on the internet and about technology.
I don't really care if it's old or not. Although you should try to get stuff up as fast as possible. I just don't think those people should be banned.

Intel says 'no' to Vista upgrade {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jun 26th 2008 1:09PM The advantages to Vista are that it's a little more user friendly and it's prettier. I don't see why a business needs to switch. Especially when hardware can only perform worse or not at all on Vista compared to XP.

Jun 24th 2008 2:04PM The copy protection is supposedly there to prevent casual copying. So that anyone can't just make a copy of a disc and give it to their friend or install the game on their friends computer. I don't understand why they're making the protection worse though. The people that want to crack it will always crack it. You don't need anything but the basic cd check to stop the normal people.
