It's so hurky jerky it's disgusting. I drive a 6M on a daily basis so the thought of a slushbox drives me nuts, but the acceleration sucks.
I try to feather the pedal to slowly take off from a stop and whether it's the accelerator (drive by wire issues), transmission, or a combination of the two, the car just goes full tilt. I used to think it was her not knowing how to feather on the accelerator, but it's the car.
So I personally don't think it has anything to do with over sized pedals or floor mats, but rather sensors of some sort failing, misreading, whatever... causing the car to accelerate.
