But the laser in my PS2 died... so that math doesn't cut it.
I would never buy a laptop with a reflective screen. Besides using them in a completely dark room, it gets annoying FAST when you and anyone else trying to see an area of the screen that is reflecting something have to move your head back and forth to avoid the glare. I hate having to try to focus my eyes through the reflection, what is the point, you're trying to see what's on the screen, not what's around you! lol
Hey idiots, the store's inventory had already been sold to the liquidator. CompUSA had no part in this guy's transaction. If he wants to sue somebody, go right ahead and sue the liquidator that's running the operation at these stores now.

As to why CUSA is going under, they made some really bad/stupid management decisions, and their pricing and inventory was nothing great.
It must be because they want to sell more PVR's, and not piracy, because the average home user wanting to record the ep of House MD they missed is not the one making the torrents.

There's not going to be a market for these media center pc's in Canada anymore if the cable providers do this. If a special version is released for canada that doesn't recognize the flag, well it won't be exclusive to canada for long.
Some random thoughts:
-That's not a wiimote in his hands...
-The kid was banned from Wii for 2 weeks... wow, way to teach the kid a lesson. Isn't that about the length of time it will take you to get another tv?
-The linked article says the consoles were "recalled so nintendo could beef up the wrist straps", which isn't true. There was never any recall.
They should sell a PS3 with no HDD. It would reduce the price and let people add whatever size drive they wanted. Right now you're left with an unused 60gb drive if you choose to upgrade it.
If you follow the read link, it looks like the guy got roughed up pretty bad on his arms. Those look like bad bruises and a big patch of skin got scraped off his elbow area. WTF?
Why doesn't that "recreation of the Enterprise" look ANYTHING like the enterprise? Surely the enterprise controls aren't that hard to imitate, but they used some big buttons instead(see woman's left hand). The screen, colors, and surroundings are also not from Trek. The floor and underneath the screen are just concrete. How much did they pay for this? Sorry, but this is a really poor "recreation" of the Enterprise, or even of making it look like something from any Trek series. You say these people are obsessed with it? The lady is wearing white khakis with that uniform t-shirt; at least take it seriously and wear the black pants. /end overboard critique
So if I interfaced my brain with this machine, could I make torrents go faster?
Can someone produce and sell these? Pleeeeeeeease! Best calendar ever! Or at least a how-to:)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
