"Will be interesting to see how long time after the release it would take the linux-hackers to get an actual operating system running on it. This would be an awesome e-paper sulotion if you can get OS X or Linux running on it."
What a moron. If Linux was even remotely usable by normal people on the DESKTOP, then I would admit the possibility that it might be good for a tablet. There is absolutely no way Linux would ever run on this aside from the idiot that does the "look it runs Linux" post in a few months. RUNNING an OS on hardware is not the same as USING an OS on hardware. I'm not buying a tablet so I can use a command prompt.
"You (and at least six other posters) could also completely miss the point of this article."
I don't think we miss it, we're just sick of all this "It Runs Doom/Linux" nonsense posts that are listed on this site and many others on a DAILY basis.
Cool. Now I can take my $3000 luxury Mac and turn it into a POS linux box that would only cost me $400 to build.
Nice work geniuses.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
