I wanna win something!!
I work for AT&T and we can't even buy a phone! I must get this one! PLEASE!
@ Arbee26 -

Actually I was kidding, but since you brought it up. You really think there is not 1 circuit on the entire station that isn't chinese made, or has chinese made parts in it? The Chinese make most products for less than half of their American counterparts, and with shipping to the US it's still cheaper.

I bet if someone followed the manufacturing trail of each item on the station, they'd find alot of stuff that originated in China.
That's what happens when you depend on Chinese made products. (joking)

What's the deadline to get it fixed or to abandon the station?
Most of Palms phones are manufactured by HTC, maybe they worked with each other to come up with this design...
You can get a 59.99 voice plan w/ 900 minutes. So actually, you'd be saving a little money. You can't compare accurately if you're going to increase the voice plan.

As for the data plan, the pricing hasn't been announced yet. It could be 29.99, or all the way up at 44.99. I'm sure theres going to be a special apple data plan to use with the phone.
Enter me!! I used one for 2 wks and loved it!
Did anyone read the fine print on the bottom of the apple specs page?

http://www.apple.com/iphone/technology/specs.html

It says rechargable batteries will have to replaced after a certain amount of recharges... Does this mean the batteries will be removable, or the phone will have to be sent in for service?
I think I read this right... Verizon is "merging" it's customers in the FairPoint areas with FairPoint? That sounds like they are cutting their losses in that area and selling it's customers...

Seriously? ATT is getting ready to turn up the heat and Verizon is selling off it's customers? Did I read this right?
you guys are missing the point here. I have no doubt the photo is fake.
Apple is probably testing phones for this, but not for a launch this early. They tend to release products with a one two punch. They have a video ipod being released in march or april, that goes along with the next i-tunes phone (confirmed by internal cingular communications).

At this point if it happens this year, it'll be 3rd or 4th quarter, just in time for christmas.

About the umts vs ev-do argument...
hsdpa is faster than ev-do. Cingular is upgrading to umts, with hsdpa following right behind on those same towers, so the umts arguement is irrelevant. It is expected to be nationwide by the end of the year, which would time perfectly with an apple mvno, especially for songs downloaded wirelessly.

I doubt it would be with any other manuf besides motorola, even if they did recently launch their own music service.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
