So they're going to accept cash now? Man, I hope they outfit them all with those old school metal change belts. That would be awesome and totally fit in with Apple's new glass-and-metal "retro chic" look!
Am I seeing right that it has a D-pad now? That's a nice addition, though it doesn't do anything for the AppleTV...
I saw this reviewed on a tv show. Those tasting it said it was not as good as real hand-scooped ice cream but far better than the typical vending machine ice cream sandwiches / Drumstick cones, etc.
Does the water-drop trick requires a 3GS? The lens on my 3G is flush with the back and I can't get a water drop to stay put; it just rolls right off.
Keep in mind that MacFixIt's list is just for base configurations. My 2008 iMac was CTO'ed with a 8800GS and works just fine with OpenCL. If you're machine is new-ish, but not on the list, check your video card before getting too depressed.
I'd use it for security, stop-motion, or a baby monitor.
No, you'll keep the "newer" profile. In fact, I'm having the opposite problem -- I want to check out the AT&T 4.2 profile but I can't get it to "downgrade" from my hacked AT&T 5.0 profile.

Anyone know of a way to extract the ATT_US.ipcc file from the 3.1 OS image?
Sure, the 2nd French lunch looks great, but the first one doesn't look any more appetizing than most of the American ones. Also note there's no British school dinners listed; they would make everything else look gourmet.
When Craig Federighi was doing his Snow Leopard demo, what was the monitor he had for the demo machine? It had a silver bezel like a Cinema Display, but also clearly had the glossy screen (from the insane reflections from the stage lights) like the LED display.

Anyone else notice that??
I'm curious if the "Enhanced GPS Performance" means that the cradle has its own GPS antenna. The iPhone's cell-based AGPS doesn't work when you're out in the boonies with spotty coverage.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
