It might also help with the rat problems...
Hey Mark, one of the comments stuck out when I was reading this... The guy who said something about wishing he could watch the Canucks play. Is there anybody out there that is doing the type of thing you did with Broadcast.com but with video feeds? I think the same fan who would want to hear the Indiana game on the radio would also want to watch that game live from anywhere the world. Is this a possibility and are there already companies attempting this?
I can see these gaining in popularity in cities like NY and LA where population densities are high.
She's much more attractive than Kokoro's actroid robot receptionist. Though the folks at Waseda have been working on a stunning beauty. The toy next to her looks like it was made from a recycled Mac monitor... I guess if we teach the robots to think, they're inevitably going to vent their anger over our abusive treatment of them. A blog seems reasonable.
Luckily their emergency response team wasted no time rushing into action. Thankfully, Asimo will live to climb another day. Thanks to this I will always carefully monitor each step I ever take on a staircase. Thank you Asimo.
I've been looking for an extremely portable spectrometer! I bet the size comes down more over time...
I agree that this is only the first step. Making it work with visible light will be quite a challenge. But, if you're going up against an army of robots that can only see microwaves, it might do the trick!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
