Sony's iMac-ish VAIO VGC-LT19U reviewed {Engadget}
Sep 26th 2007 2:24AM Engadget you need to stop whoring apple in every second news you give out.
The Vaio L series has been far out well before your beloved iMac was out. It had the laptop-esque keyboard far before your iMac had it. And it is inspired by it's television sister, the Bravia series and not your iMac.
So, next time please call the iMac, a Vaio L'ish product.
Sony's new VAIO AR600 series of 17-inch laptops {Engadget}
Sep 24th 2007 12:59PM I own an AR and I quite like it.It's nice and sturdy. Perfect for a desktop replacement. The xbrite screen offers the best contrast for watching these Hi-Def movies.
The thickness of the laptop though, is completely unjustified. It is just too thick for what it has to offer. C'mon if apple can use vaio engineers to squeeze all that into 1 inch, why cant sony do it for themselves??
I had such a hard time finding a backpack for it.
EU rules on Microsoft antitrust appeal: Bad news for Microsoft {Engadget}
Sep 17th 2007 6:35AM I cant believe all this bullshit thats been happening. Google crying over instant-search. Real crying over Media player. Win users always have a choice. They can install Winamp, Bloaty RealPlayer, iTunes...anything and windows supports it fine. And if they really want to remove the windows media player component, they can do so via the add/ remove. Realnetworks, should blame themselves over a sub-standard product.
If you build a better product, users will patronize it. Firefox is such a great example.

iTunes 7.4.1 ringtones re-rename workaround discovered {Engadget}
Sep 8th 2007 8:54PM @ James,
Apple would have been more lenient if they were not making any money out of this. We wouldnt be getting 'point' updates in 24hrs. The clearly intend making lots of money from ringtones by having a monopoly on iphone ringtone content.
For years, other companies have bashed Microsoft over for this very issue. CONSUMER CHOICE.
Give me a reason why music companies wouldn't like MULTIPLE ringtone providers? Why cant I choose where to get my ringtones from? I'm into electronic dance music. Does apple have all the dance music ever produced to have a monopoly of content on my phone?
iTunes 7.4.1 ringtones re-rename workaround discovered {Engadget}
Sep 8th 2007 4:55PM I'm sorry but apple doesn't cut that picture here. Music companies have 2000 ring tone distributors. Hell, these days anybody with dough can get a ringtone distribution license. Apple is just one of them. Since apple had control over the hardware, they deliberately locked you out from adding your own sourced ringtones. It's part of a 'seamless' iPhone experience.
