Is Woodley dropping into coverage more to make up for the loss of Polamalu?
Y'know what would be slightly more interesting than this? Creating a VHS tape-shaped device into which I could insert flash memory and then play digital video in my VCR. Then I could get some use out of that dusty old thing in the back of my TV cabinet. (Except I probably wouldn't, because I blew that $100 a WD TV...)
Cue the nobody-care-post-something-newsworthy comments in 3, 2, 1...
You're on. First round's on me.
I only care about one app on this emulator: SlingPlayer.

I'm a soccer fan. (And a former soccer blogger for AOL's FanHouse, for disclosure purposes.) A lot of the big European matches during the week kick off in the afternoon here, and I can't get away from the office to watch them -- nor can I use Sling.com on my company's network. So I watch on my Treo using SlingPlayer. I watched most of EURO 2008 on the Treo, and I plan on doing the same with the FIFA Confederations Cup, which takes place in South Africa, this June.

Sling's in no hurry to make SlingPlayer for the Pre. If SlingPlayer works in emulation, however, I will definitely switch this summer. Make it happen, Palm.
$85? Are they joking? Fossil Farms will sell you 12 8 oz. Kobe Beef patties for $45 + shipping.
I just lost an entire weekend to this game. I pre-ordered it after enjoying PES 2008 so much. The control system is what makes this game so awesome. It's basically point-and-click football. You put the players and the ball exactly where you want them, and the game flows from there.

They improved the Champions Road mode, making it a bit more involved. So far, I've got a 4-star line-up that's ready for the Champions League. They've also added a feature in Champions Road where you can develop a Mii into a player. So far, though, my attempts to turn my pudgy balding ass into the next Wayne Rooney haven't worked so well. Gotta figure out a way to fix that.

Haven't messed with the Manager Mode yet. I'll try that next, I think.
So they won't put Flash 9 on the web browser, but they'll let developers sell Flash games through Wii Ware. This sounds sufficiently crappy.
Larry: The official reason the rape charges were dropped was lack of evidence. Keep in mind, though, that he's been arrested multiple times, the DUI charges stuck, and Stevens was sentenced to jail time for them.

Duemig might be a jerk -- sports talk radio is full of those -- but I honestly think you'd be hard pressed to find a lot of people who would defend Jerramy Stevens.
Horatio: No different from anything else in MLS, you mean. Show me one other soccer league in the world that operates with a stupid rule like this. Hell, show me one other sports league in America that "allocates" veteran free agents.

It's Mickey Mouse, and it ought to be changed.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
