Don't whine about the stocks, if you didn't notice all stocks took a big tumble today, especially the Dow, down over 100 to closer under 11,000.
And quite frankly, I don't think they care what we think of the annoucements, they did their job by reporting it, and quite well. I think your conspiracy theory is very far out.
Jarad:
I think that was because the site was going down, it was a way to keep the site up so that people could still view the updates, but the site couldn't handle the load of the large mass of posts coming in. I don't know, but that's my guess, don't jump to attack.
My only bone to pick is the integrated graphics chip, but remember, this is supposed to be a budget computer, Apple's not going to put it in a 17" enclosure. It markets to switchers who don't want to spend a lot of money, its not supposed to be a power computer, if you want that, buy a Power Mac.
Price better come down quick, I've been putting off buying one waiting for the price drop once the Intels sprung out.
Sorry, I included the quote but forgot to type my own! :(

I was going to say plus the $5120 for the hard drives of course, bringing it up above $7000.
Should be:

Case: $650 (Case w/LCD)
CPU: $500
Mobo: $150
PSU: $150
Video: $250
RAM: $200
DVD-ROM: $50
Heatsink: $50

Total: $2000
"7. But what has this got to do with Apple?"

What are you talking about? Nobody said it has anything to do with Apple.
"im serious... i really dont get the iPod shuffle video

it doesnt even have controls!!!"

That is the joke! How dense are you? You are taking it much too seriously, it was meant to be a joke. People have always pissed since it doesn't have a screen, so the joke is to make a Shuffle Video without a screen, obviously making it useless. Duh!
I've been expecting the Mini all along, it better be here.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
