If an emulator gets in, then getting Flash and Silverlight might be easier. Apple should stop the controlling what technologies get on the iphone and just provide a standard process that ensures stability, performance etc... leave the rest to the market
This is dissapointing. Was hoping for Active Digitizer, more ram, better camera and a better price point.
This could make a nice Windows Home Server tied to a Drobo!!!!

Dell is much better than any other tablet out there. Can't you just see it in the pictures, videos, and blog. They've told us why we need to spend soooo much more for their tablet, so why is everyone bitching. Just listen before they give you a spanking.

They've been walking us down the yellow brick road, feeding us snacks along the way and then exploding this nice price IED right before christmas. Nice way to treat your customers....
After reviewing the configuration options...Dell needs to pull the stick out of their xss. The configuration options include slow speed, low storage hard drives. Not 1 7200 rpm option. The SSD's while cool are still hard to justify.

Dell, new technology does not have to mean premium pricing. Premium pricing in this case is not going to make this product sell. My advice, check your economics and understand that you can have a great product it just needs some attention to the marketing, pricing and configuration.

The excuse that your targeting verticals is an old tactic to attempt high price justification. Your basically telling early adopters that "we understand that this might be too much for you to handle $$ wise" sorry. When did Dell start implying a new tagline --- "Too Good For You!"

Ok, we'll wait for a company that walks the walk... Very dissapointing for a product that could be so good. I've been waiting for just the right product to upgrade my Toshiba M200 which is still running pretty good at 2GHz + Vista + 2GB Ram + 7200RPM drive...... It's like I just bought it yesterday... (Well almost, only 3+ years ago)..

I've been waiting for this product for quite somje time
This is not innocent in my mind. The best buy site (internal store one) is available at multiple computers for consumer use. In fact when you ask to use a computer to go to their site, they always take you to one that has this "internal" site on it. I was specifically turned down for getting the price from the printout from the primary web site that I brought with me until I figured it out and talked to the manager. I would never shop at Best Buy without specific knowledge of available pricing from the internet site. I wish I had been the one to spill this out on the web over 6 months ago. I'm glad to see this out in the public. Best Buy.. Get your act together. Even if this was "meant" for internal consumption, which I personally doubt, it has now been discovered.

Once I discovered it, I've had friends go in and have the same situation occur well after my experience. That means that the store manager knowingly let it continue.

I discovered this fraud at the Best Buy on Shady Grove Road in Rockville MD over 6 months ago. After reviewing the pricing of some products from home, I got in the car and went to the store, where the price on the rack was different (higher). I then went to one of the computers in the store ant the Best Buy site also had a higher price.

I requested access to the internet and low and behold the price was the same as when I check from home less than 15 minutes before.

At that point, I asked them to match the price and was told NO. I immediately asked to see the store manager who after I demonstrated the problem, had no problem matching the price.

The reason I was given, was that the store displays an "internal" site that is not always updated.

This is a purposefull act by Best Buy to defraud customers. There is no doubt in my mind. They only capitulate when caught.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
