It's true, no backlit keyboard - the user guide is online now.
http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/MacBook_13inch_Late2009_UG.pdf is not yet around. Otherwise you might check for illu in there - I can't recognize anything on f5/f6 key caps
I wait for iFixit, tomorrow, to see what's inside.

How would you exchange the keyboard?

Could it be the same motherboard as for the MPB, just lacking the firewire ports and sd card slot?
There are at least two more comments about that above.
So there's no glass above the display, as it is on the MBP?

How about a direct comparison of MPB 13" vs. MB 13" with active displays, PLEASE!
8 GB? Does it take 4 GB RAM per slot?

> 2GB (two 1GB SO-DIMMs) of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM; two SO-DIMM slots support up to 4GB
So the new Mac mini and MacBook are almost identical, specwise, but the MacBook dropped the FireWire ports again :-(

... and still just glossy displays :-(
A Mac mini with 1 TB!?

I know the Western Digital Scorpio Blue 1000GB, SATA II (WD10TEVT) only, which is about 180 EUR here - thus the Apple price for this device would have to be ridiculous or it will be no longer a 2.5" size!?
How'bout Hackintosh?

No need for Win7 - but if it would be available with Linux, I'd feel more comfortable about it.

At least it does prove how cheap an air netbook might be - and the quality is not necessarily that far below the current MacBook (while it is not cheaper or faster than a used PowerBook...)
Images should have been in real size, compared to each other. Here the Tattoo looks as big as the others.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
