MANY people in the UK have become fed up with the EU's Ultra-Nanny-Stateism policies. Free trade is all well and good, but it would happen without there intervention.
This point and others are all reasons that in current polling, UK Independence Party is behind only the Conservatives for the 4th June EU Elections... EU=nice idea, poor implementation (much like windows :D)
I don't think they will any time soon. I think DLC like this is the new "follow-up" game, by which I mean the same game engine, with a different model on-top.
Criterion can add LOTS of functionality through updates, whether they be paid or free - but the "Paradise City" today is almost, bar the map itself, completely different to the "Paradise" when it was released.
I genuinely believe Criterion are pioneering the new way of game distribution - in which a game will basically become and "operating system" if you like. A base that can be built upon with DLC.
I work at a "middle class" department store in the UK, with a big reputation for reliability and good service - ALL we sell at the moment are either the cheap £399 stuff OR the high end Apple stuff. Mid-Range windows laptops aren't shifting; people want cheap or quality - not a compromise.
They see £399 as being replaceable not far down the line, or they want to spend MORE to make it last longer = mac.
Apple DO NOT need to drop the price, they are sitting pretty as they are.
Same thing happened with the iPods - the exchage rate at the moment is horrific - whereas it used to be nearly 1=$2, with global markets dying by the day it's now 1=$1.73!
So yes, we are ebing ripped off, but it's not totally Apple's fault
Living in Britain
US competition law
is a big problem!!!

-> Not an entry - just my feelings!!!!!
Could I have one pretty please :D
Magenta Week anyone? turn the weblogs, inc network Magenta... fuel a bit of inter-corporate fun!
to be fair ink has come down a lot in price over the last few years, and HP is one of the cheaper brands. Here in the UK, a colour cartridge will set you back about £15-£25 on the high street, while online often under £10. Not too shabby really
They are only breaking tradition as they are being forced to - They need to get this SDK out of the door for the sake of Stock etc; and it obviously wasn't ready for this week, and next week there is a stock holders meeting on the tuesday - and the fact its on a thursday shows Apple wants it out the door ASAP.
Awaken doesn't do EyeTV does it? Aurora most definitely does (it is my alarm of choice).

"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
