I'm not a big fan of that either.

Is there any chance that you can block the folding access with a firewall/router and still get the LIVE service?

I have no idea whether it is possible, but it might be a workaround. Will be downloading tonight so will see what I can see.
Sounds like you swallowed a MS marketing pamphlet.

Hmmmm.
* A full rundown of the commercials explaining how amazing they are.
* Other comments only on MS products/ads and saying how good they are.

I smell astroturf....
Well the gravity one does at least.
So does anyone know of ANYWHERE in the UK where you can get a microphone for the PSP? (other than for £30 with the talkman).
They could have done a kickass promotion for Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within with this tech.
That could be pretty sweet for climbing depending on the weight.
WT-Freaking-F ?!

you have to pay to receive texts and pay to receive phone calls? charging at both ends?

Now I understand where ISPs get the idea for a tiered (i.e. double charging) internet service. They see the sweet deal mobile providers are getting and want a piece of that action.

How is it that this became a normal and accepted charging model?
yes please!
I would have to agree with this comment. There is a reason a lot of controls in a car are buttons and knobs, it's so there is some feedback to the driver when they use them. With a touchscreen you need to take your eyes off the road to see what settings you are changing on a touchscreen, with an air conditioning knob (for example) you can feel what setting you have turned it to without actually looking.

"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
